Sycamore Row (2014) by John Grisham

This is a standard legal thriller by productive writer, John Grisham.  It is about a will contest of a very rich guy in BFE Mississippi that requires going resolving a 50 year old mystery to decide who gets the estate.  As they say, in the south, the past isn't dead.  It isn't even past.  Who am I to judge.

Read it.

Jaws by Peter Benchley (1974)

This is a great story about a heck of a fish that terrorizes a beach town in the New England.  It's about the shark, and it's about the town, and the people in it.  You get a good flavor of the times.  He's a great writer too.  Read up.

Simon Li recliner in the living room

Got the brown Simon Li recliner for our living room yesterday.

We picked it up in Marie and Bill's SUV at the Alhambra Costco.  Big Dave helped to move the badboy.  It cost a cool $399.99.

From Mountain Man to Mayor: Don Benito Wilson Los Angeles 1841-1878 by Nat Read, 2008

This is about one of the founders of American Los Angeles, Benjamin D (Don Benito( Wilson.  He figures prominently in the early story of the San Gabriel Valley.  Lots of stuff is named after him.  It's an easy and interesting read.  Go for it.
